Supported Encoders - Alphabetical Listing

Epiphan Pearl
The Epiphan Pearl captures your camera, streams to ScaleEngine, and records.
We are working on API integration with Epiphan Video.

FMLE
Flash Media Live Encoder does not have a lot of features, but works well. It's been surpassed by OBS, but people still use it.
Adobe FMLE for Mac OSX
Adobe FMLE for Windows

FFMPEG
To stream with ffmpeg (you must use a recent version of ffmpeg) to ScaleEngine, you must append the stream name to the end of the rtmp url, for example:
ffmpeg -re -i file.mp4 -f flv -vcodec libx264 -vprofile baseline -level 3.1 -acodec aac -b:a 64000 -ar 48000 -ac 2 -strict experimental 'rtmp://username.vorigin.scaleengine.net/username-origin/live?user=ffmpeg&pass=ffmpeg/streamname'

OBS
Open Broadcaster Software is a good free encoder. It runs on Windows, Linux and OSX.
Get OBS and then watch our tutorial on it.

TERADEK
Teradeks work perfectly with us, specifically Vidius and Cubes.

VMIX
ScaleEngine is fully integrated with vMix, which connects to your ScaleEngine account to get stream names and URLs.

VIDBLASTER
ScaleEngine is fully integrated with Vidblaster, which also connects to your ScaleEngine account to get stream names and URLs.

XVC Encoders are fully compatible as RTMP encoders to ScaleEngine origins.
